Challenge Yourself & Training Partners with FightCamp's “Vs Mode”

During this time when many of us are staying at home, community and friendly competition (especially when it comes to working out) is more valuable and relevant than ever.

Being able to track your progress on the app and leaderboard have been foundational for our members. In September, we took this to the next level with VERSUS mode, and now, we're updating it!

What Is "Vs Mode"?

VERSUS mode allows FightCamp members to complete their workouts in a player-vs-player style of competition.

As a member and participant, you can load your past session into any workout and compete for highest output on a live-style versus leaderboard. Or you can repeat a workout and play against yourself in a you-vs-you match to keep on getting better.

Additionally, you can compete in "VS FightCamp Average" mode. You will be automatically matched with a "bot" who performs at an "average" level for that given workout.

You can share the fun and send a friend a link to your workout. It'll take them straight to your workout and let them try to beat your Output score!

How Versus Mode Works on the FightCamp App

Versus Mode allows you to complete any workout in a player-vs-player style of competition. On the workout overview screen you can load a player's past session via a leaderboard. Your workout will now include their metrics alongside yours and a live-style leaderboard showing who's ahead as well as their current Output lead.

Once you press "Start", you will now be given four (4) options:

  • VS FightCamp Average - Matches the user with the actual average performance on the given leaderboard, yet presents the opponent as a bot (represented by the AVG icon above). It is available once there is more than one score on the leaderboard. This is what we refer to as AutoMatch.
  • VS Opponent - This is the same as the current "vs mode" experience and initiates the opponent selection flow.
  • VS You - This is only available if the user has completed the given workout, and immediately starts the workout with themself as the VS Mode opponent.
  • Solo Mode - This is what is currently thought of as a "regular" workout.

Vs Mode Update

Send your workout to a friend on FightCamp and let them play you in versus mode. Go to any past session you've completed, and find the new "Send Challenge Link" button. Tap the button to get a link that you can send to a friend via the social platform of your choice. When your friend taps on the link, they'll be taken to that workout with your session pre-loaded and ready to go for a Versus match.

Now, with the new update, when you accept a VS Mode challenge via an email link, you will see info about your challenge/challenger, and be prompted to start the workout directly from that screen via the "Beat their score" button:

Vs Mode Beat Their Score

At FightCamp, we believe boxing is not just a sport or workout but a way of cultivating strength in life - VS mode was designed to empower our users to not only improve themselves but others. Now it's time to unleash the fighter within with VS mode. Will you accept this challenge?
